Why make an accident claim?
Victims of more serious accidents regularly need time off work to recover
from their personal injury, leading to financial problems such as struggling
to keep up with mortgage repayments. In fact, many people return to work too
early due to these problems, often making their injury worse. That is why it
is important that accident victims make an accident claim and are awarded the
compensation they deserve - to give them the time needed to make a full
recovery.
Accident claims should be successful if it can be shown that someone has been
at fault in some way - that they have failed in a duty or not taken
reasonable care - and that this fault or failure caused (or partly caused)
the accident. This may be quite obvious in some cases, but in others it can
